THE DOMES!

Such fake smiles...

Today's field trip was to The Domes. We went into 3 different domes all containing different plants. The first one was The Tropical Dome, showing all sorts of things from the Rain forest. This one was SO humid, we couldn't stay in there too long. Mom's camera steamed up instantly each time she turned it on.
Next, we went to The Arid Dome. We were in the deserts of Africa, Madagascar, North America and South America. Lots of cacti...nothing too colorful here.
Then, we went into Mom's favorite The Floral Show Dome. Right when you walked in the doors you could smell the scent of Spring. It was so colorful and had tons of flowers. Of course Mom went crazy taking pictures of the Hydrangeas...her favorite flower!

There aren't too many pictures of Karsen, he is SO busy. He usually doesn't sit still too long...by the time Mom clicks the camera ~ he is gone!

SHEDD AQUARIUM!

Walking from Soldier Field to the Shedd Aquarium.

Bighead Fish

Here is "Dory" from the movie FINDING NEMO!

And here is one of Nemo's relatives ;)

Watch out below, Keegan is walking on water...

...as the Stingray's glide beneath his feet!

Keegan is watching the Sharks swim pass him in the underwater gardens, they are too fast for the camera! Only 5 inches of glass separate us from two dozen sharks!

The Penguin Shore
Here is 2 of 5 Beluga Whales in the Secluded Bay at the Shedd.

Today we drove downtown Chicago to the Shedd Aquarium. Mom has been there before, but it was our first time...Dad's too! We explored so many exhibits, The Oceanarium, Wild Reef, Amazon Rising, Caribbean Reef, and Waters of the World. My (Keegan) favorite thing to see was the Beluga Whales, Dad also thought that was cool! We could hear them talking to us. Mom asked me what a Whale says, and I told her. Everyone around us thought it was funny, I guess I do a good job!

Keegan is taking stage for a special performance...

... directed by Katelyn...

...and Karsen.

Keegan is putting on a puppet show for Katelyn!

Experimenting with dances from around the world!

The twins are learning how the Brain works.

Dr. Keegan is viewing some x-rays.

Karsen is driving his truck!

Keegan as the Postal Worker, sending the packages on their way.

Keegan is working at the Super Service Center.

Keegan hired Karsen for some help.

He also hired Katelyn for the desk!

Today we went to the Betty Brinn Children's Museum. There were so many things to interact with, it was great! We got to conduct an orchestra, make a stomach grumble in the digestive tunnel, crawl throuh a giant heart, sort corn in the silo, groom animals, role play jobs in the community and play in Betty's Busy Backyard. Sounds like fun, doesn't it!?!
